@Thomas, I can unfortunately not give you a 100% clear answer, but I have the impression that they use the sticker to mark mail that has a feature which makes it necessary for the employee to secure or to prove that the postage is checked.

I got it for example when I put the stamp at the front site of a postcard. It could therefore not be canceled and then somebody put the sticker at the backsite. In your case it probably has something to do with the fact that it is citypost.

So a sticker put by the post employee to prove he or she checked the postage, that’s what I think.

thank you for your answer !

No these letters came from Hotels all around the Netherlands (as we plan a round trip later this year), from Zeeland over Amsterdam to Rotterdam etc.
And my location is also not near the border to NL (250 kms I would calculate). No it’s for sure not just a “border area” practise of TNT. About 95% off all replies from NL were delivered by the local private postal service “CITIPOST GÖTTINGEN”. Only for the “Frankering Gecontroleerd” labels the rate is lower (2 of 6 came via the CITIPOST, 4 via the usual Deutsche Post)

I’m still looking for details about this
FRANKERUBNG GECONTROLEERD label.

@ Thomas Roesner, we saw that sticker before, it means “postage is checked”. If we can reach them, we will urgently advise TNT to develop a course for its personnel: “how to put a sticker properly on a cover”.

I don’t know about the cittipost Gottingen, did the envelope came from a village at the border with Germany?

Het personeel van TNT Post krijgt niet voor niets een loonsverlaging van 15%.

Het word toch tijd dat het personeel van TNT een cursus gaat volgen :”Hoe plak ik stikkers op een enveloppe”.
En “Hoe erger ik de filatelist”.
Deze stikker (als hij over de zegels is geplakt)zal ik in elk geval niet opnemen als een van de 12 elementen (postaanduiding).
Lia kun je dit probleem niet bij TNT naar voren brengen. Jij bent nog een van de weinige die de weg weet.
Alvast bedankt, namels alle postzegel en stempel verzamelaars.

Hello,

sorry for writing in English.

Over the last 2 weeks I got about
5 letters from the Netherlands with
a sticker “Frankering Gecontroleerd”.
The sticker was out over the metered red postage print and over canceled stamps.
1 of them was delivered by the private
German postal service “CITIPOST Göttingen”.

Any idea ??

Ach wat is vreemd?
Het verkopen van doosjes met Rolzegels met op de achterzijde Reclame voor het gebruik van Frankeermachines? Oftewel een ontmoediging van het gebruiken van de net aangeschafte postzegels?
Is dat vreemd? Om gebruik van het net aangeschafte product te ontmoedigen?
Tja, zal wel Handel van TNT Post zijn.

Dat denk ik toch wel Dolores. Die man is allang blij dat hij wat te doen heeft denk ik, soort ambtenaartje.
Ja, dat de stempels worden vernieigd na bewezen diensten vind ik erg vreemd.
Maar er is wel meer vreemd bij TNTpost, ja toch?

Ah wat leuk, ik heb hier ook een stapeltje liggen maar ben er nog niet aan toegekomen deze te versturen. Stempelt de heer Dekker ook “grapjes” af? Zwart-wit kaart ingekleurd met een zeer eigenwijs meisje erop, de tekst: “Hoe het ook zij, ik ben tegen”, en de Eurozegel. Hij kan een grapje toch wel waarderen eeeh afstempelen he?

Maar goed, die stempels worden dus vernietigd, das best zonde. Is dat om misbruik tegen te gaan?
